SoundStage for Ableton is a free, open-source (MIT) Ableton Live extension that generates original music, stems, and sound design from a text brief straight onto your tracks. It can steer takes from a MIDI clip, split a mix into vocals and instrumental, and match a mix to a reference. It needs the Ableton Live 12.4.5 beta with a Live 12 Suite license, and generations bill to your FXI credits.

Overview
SoundStage runs inside Ableton Live, not in the browser. You install the .ablx extension from its GitHub releases, restart Live, then right-click a track and choose Generate music with FXI.
Sign-in uses a secure browser handoff (PKCE) to your FXI Studio account; the session is kept in your operating system’s keychain, never in files or your Live set, and you can revoke it from your account. The extension is free; generations draw on your FXI credit balance.

How to use SoundStage for Ableton
- 1Check requirements. You need the Ableton Live 12.4.5 public beta and a Live 12 Suite license; stable builds do not load extensions.
- 2Install the extension. Download the .ablx from the SoundStage GitHub releases, add it under Settings > Extensions in Live, then fully restart Live.
- 3Connect your account. Sign in through the browser handoff to link your FXI Studio account.
- 4Generate. Right-click a track, choose Generate music with FXI, and write your brief.
